Mission and Outreach are very important at UPC. UPC has as one its core values to reach out to the community beyond its walls with compassionate care for those who are the most vulnerable. Many of the organizations supported monetarily by UPC through the Outreach programs have active volunteers, board members, or other involvement from someone in the UPC congregation.

Clearly this small group could not make an important impact by ourselves, and so we seek to share our resources with community partners whose programs reflect our values and interests.

To request funding or contact the Outreach Committee, please review the UPC Funding Request document for guidelines. All requests must be in writing.

Additionally, UPC’s Outreach Committee sponsors a monthly “Dignity Offering.” The first Sunday of each month the organization who will benefit from the offering will make a short presentation on the purpose and goals of the organization and how UPC can help. The following Sunday, the congregation can bring the items requested, or a monetary donation, to support the cause.
Presenters are also invited to explain the work they do for various organizations during the "Minute for Mission." This allows the congregation to hear first hand how your organization is involved in the community. These organizations may be supported through Benevolences, Dignity Offerings, special offerings, or may be the passion of someone in our congregation.
If you are involved with an organization that would like to partner with UPC to further the greater good in our community, begin by completing the UPC Funding Request Form. E-mail the Outreach Committee for more information. The committee meets every second Tuesday evening at 5:30 in the Sunday school room. Any and all are welcome to join.
